Housing prices at Bulgarian resorts are rising. How much does it cost to buy an apartment in Bulgaria for vacation right now?
Real estate prices in Bulgarian resorts continue to rise, and currently the cost of holiday apartments is significantly higher than before. Over the past year, resort property prices in Bulgaria have increased by an average of22% or around €115 per square meter. Now the cost per square meter in resorts ranges from €500 to €1000, which is the highest mark since2013-2014.
For comparison, in2021 the average cost of an apartment in all of Bulgaria was €30,000, and by mid-2023 it had already exceeded €40,500.
Prices for apartments in different resorts in Bulgaria:
- St. Vlas:
- Average cost: €800 per square meter
- Cost of the apartment: €50,000
- Pomorie:
- Average cost: about €730 per square meter
- Cost of the apartment: €46,000
- Resorts north of Varna:
- The cost per square meter varies from €500 to €1000 per square meter
Prices at mountain resorts:
- Borovets:
- Cost per square meter: €960
- Average transaction budget: around €68,000 (+26% compared to 2021)
- Bansko:
- Cost per square meter: about €685
- Cost of the apartment: €50,000
- Pamporovo:
- Average cost: €450 per square meter
- Cost of the apartment: about €40,000
The rise in real estate prices in the country is due to several factors, including high inflation and insufficient supply on the market.
