My life in South Korea

I started out as a travel manager in Moscow. I have always enjoyed traveling, and my profession helped me to explore different countries and cultures. In Moscow, I met my future husband, who invited me to Seoul. At first I saw it as an adventure, but gradually the decision to stay in South Korea became more and more solid.

Housing and changes

When we decided to live together, we found a small apartment near Sungkyunkwan University. Although it was a rental, I understood that it was fine given the circumstances. Sungkyunkwan University has a history of over 600 years and is one of the oldest in Korea. We realized that buying property in South Korea can be challenging due to high real estate prices.

  • Many Koreans move frequently, and searching for new housing is a common occurrence for them.

  • My husband lived in 11 different places and attended 7 different schools.

Balance between rent and savings

In the seven years we've spent in Korea, we've had to move twice. Right now, we live in a rented apartment, and like many others, we've put off buying our own home for an indefinite period. We've realized that it's important to find a balance between renting a place and saving for significant life events.

Final thoughts

In the end, South Korea is an amazing country where everyone can find their own path to happiness and prosperity.

In search of a unique experience in Southeast Asia

Traveling through Southeast Asia is a quest for amazing places filled with dense jungles, fairy-tale beaches, and fantastic nature. Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia each have their unique culture, traditions, and landscapes that captivate independent travelers.

Fashion and style also play a significant role in the lives of Southeast Asians. In Korea, for example, revealing clothing is perceived differently than in other countries. Ultra-short shorts and bright nail polish are common among the youth.
