This historic town in the Adirondacks tops Evolve's list thanks to its affordable median home value ($250,190) and great rental potential ($25,294). Located in upstate New York and with proximity to several lakes, including Lake Placid, this charming town offers a diverse cultural scene with year-round events, markets and festivals, making it even more attractive to renters. In winter, the city becomes a popular skiing destination. Visitors can enjoy 15 acres of downhill ski slopes, also great for tubing and cross-country skiing.

Branson, Missouri

Branson is a magnet for vacationing couples and groups, offering plenty of activities for all ages including theme parks, live music and hundreds of miles of scenic shoreline thanks to Table Rock Lake.
