AED 13.4 billion real estate turnover in Sharjah in the first half of 2023.

In the first half of this year, the volume of real estate transactions in the Emirate of Sharjah amounted to AED 13.4 billion, up 19.2% compared to the same time last year. The total number of transactions amounted to 40,843 and the value of mortgages amounted to AED 4.1 billion. This is revealed in the annual report of the Real Estate Registration Authority.

General Manager of the Real Estate Registration Authority in Sharjah, Saad Abdulaziz Al Shamsi

declared that real estate in the emirate accounts for about 9.3% of the total GDP, equivalent to AED 13.3 billion. He noted that the Sharjah government continues to provide full support to this key sector, while the Real Estate Registration Authority performs its functions to protect the rights of property owners.

It also highlighted the success of Emirati real estate at ICREX, which attracted more than 11,000 visitors.

When it comes to investors, 88 different nationalities invested in real estate in Sharjah in the first half of the year. Investment from the UAE amounted to AED 8.8 billion, from owners from other GCC countries, AED 697.9 million, and from Arab countries, AED 2 billion. The main nationalities actively investing are the UAE, Syria, India, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iraq.
