1966 Volvo 1800S 4-speed without reserve

This 1966 Volvo 1800S is painted in blue with black upholstery and is equipped with a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by the seller in January 2024 as part of the inheritance from its previous owner, and in the last year, brake maintenance and replacement of the clutch and clutch master cylinder have been performed.

This 1800S is offered with no minimum price with tool kit, photos and paint documents, Volvo owner's manual, copies of VSA logs and Georgia registration. The car left the factory in light blue (89) and was repainted in 2002 after rust repairs to the fenders, sills and rear panels and other body work were completed. The seller notes various scratches and chips, as well as defects in the rear window moldings.

The 15-inch steel wheels are adorned with chrome hubcaps and are fitted with old Michelin XZX 165-profile tires that need to be replaced due to aging. The braking power is provided by front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. According to the seller, the brakes were serviced last year, and the master cylinder and lines were also replaced.

The front bucket seats and the folding rear bench are covered in black vinyl upholstery. The radio and alarm system are not working.

The two-spoke steering wheel adorns the Smiths dashboard, which includes a speedometer up to 120 miles per hour, a tachometer up to 7,000 RPM, and gauges for oil and coolant temperature. The fuel level and oil pressure gauges are located in the center of the dashboard along with analog clocks.

The five-digit odometer shows 68,000 miles, approximately 10 of which have been driven during the current ownership. The 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder B18 engine is equipped with dual SU carburetors. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

The clutch, clutch pressure, release bearing, and master cylinder were reportedly replaced last year, according to the seller. The registration indicates the VIN as 18345VF16928, which is a combination of the types and chassis identification numbers mentioned above. Photos taken during the painting process are included in the gallery along with the work invoice.
