The 2nd Annual Gingerbread New York: healthy burger contest - November 10, 2023 - January 15, 2024 at the Museum of the City of New York.
New York, Oct. 31, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - The Museum of the City of New York is proud to present Gingerbread New York: The Great Boro Baking Contest, the second annual competition to create gingerbread and celebrate the communities and neighborhoods in each of the five boros. The museum's Gingerbread New York exhibition will open to the public on Friday, November 10, 2023, and run through Monday, January 15, 2024, giving New Yorkers and tourists a delicious opportunity to celebrate the city. The museum invited professional and independent bakers from across the city to create a display of gingerbread representing their neighborhoods in keeping with the theme of "Cult New York." Participants will present their work from all five boros, and renowned bakers, curators, and NYC restaurant owners will be on hand for final judging. Prizes will be awarded in various categories including 'Best in Borough', 'Most Majestic' and 'Most Significant'. Visitors will also be able to vote for their favorite works by scanning a QR code.
