30 years of ProWein: the Decanter exhibition at the largest trade fair in the world.
In honor of its 30th anniversary, ProWein welcomed 47,000 registered industry representatives from 135 countries in Düsseldorf, Germany, from March 10 to 12.
The largest wine and spirits exhibition gathered participants from 65 countries, including Decanter, which presented a series of events to engage with the international trade audience. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about Decanter Premium and subscribe at a special trade discount.
After a seven-year break, the Decanter World Wine Awards once again accepted wine samples at the exhibition, creating a convenient platform for producers to submit their samples for evaluation in the 2024 competition in May. Thanks to this popular delivery method, nearly 900 entries were submitted at the stand. In total, around 3,600 samples were delivered to the Decanter stand for evaluation at DWWA 2024 in May.
Decanter also presented the 20 best award-winning wines from DWWA 2023, including the Gold, Platinum, and Best in Show medal winners from 13 countries. An impressive 13 wines scored 97 points at the 2023 competition, including sparkling, white, red, and sweet wines.
Representatives from trade and producers gathered over three days of the exhibition to assess the quality that judges were looking for when awarding these high scores.
