Their location in upscale neighborhoods, spaciousness and affordability created demand from buyers across the country before the housing market crisis in 2007.

Now, however, these monstrosities have become an object of amusement on the McMansion Hell page for Internet users who admire and reflect on the people who thought these giant glazes of suburban homes were pseudoluxury.
