Portuguese Heritage Day in Massachusetts will return in person after a period of online ceremonies. The39th edition of the event will take place on June13th at10:30 am in the House of Representatives. State Senator Mark Pacheco expressed his joy at the return of the annual celebration of Portuguese heritage in the Massachusetts State House. He also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the event.
Portuguese Heritage Day is an annual event celebrating the achievements of the Portuguese-American community and individuals who serve as role models for others.
**Representative of Portugal in Boston will be Consul General Tiagu Araujo, and the whistles of Dursskaya High School will perform the anthems of the United States and Portugal. Speaker of the House of Representatives Ronald Mariano is expected to give a speech. The ceremony will be open to the public and will end with a light festive treat in the Great Hall. Representative of the Portuguese community Tony Cabral has called on all residents to participate in the celebration.
