Portugal remains one of the most popular destinations for Americans relocating to Europe. Immigrants are attracted by affordable housing, remote work opportunities, investor visa programs and low cost of living.

The number of Americans living in Portugal grew 45 percent in 2021, according to government data. Also significant growth is noticeable in Spain, Greece and Italy.
