US series 'Based on a true story' debuts on RaiPlay - TV - Ansa.it.

Second-time actress Kaley Cuoco, a former tennis star whose lives intersect unexpectedly due to an American obsession with crime podcasts. Keily Cuoco, Chris Messina and Tom Bateman star in a fascinating TV series that will be shown for the first time in Italy: starting March 29, the American TV series "Based on true events" will be available exclusively on the RaiPlay platform. The series combines black comedy and thriller and will be available for the first time in Italy.

She is a real estate agent unable to achieve a definitive breakthrough in her career; he is a veteran tennis player living in memories of the epic game in which he defeated Federer and of his increasingly unstable job as an instructor at the Beverly Boarding Club.

When Nathan loses his job, things go south: Ava wants a life just like her rich friends with whom she shares a passion for crime podcasts, and Nathan wants his talent to finally be recognized.

Meanwhile, the town is rocked by a brutal murder committed by what appears to be a new serial killer - a West Side carver. The Bartlett family is particularly affected: the victim was a waitress at an establishment frequented by Nathan and Matt.

This has piqued the interest of Ava, who, impressed by the investigative podcasts she has listened to, begins to follow her husband's evening antics. When they discover that the victim had contact with Matt on the night of the murder, they become convinced that the young and polite plumber is actually a ruthless killer, and decide to combine their passion for podcasts with an opportunity to finally change their lives: they will record a podcast about the West Side carver with the killer's real voice.
