Future prison in Nuazo: project moves forward, local authorities won't admit defeat'.

To get to the - almost - site of the future prison in Nuazo, you have to walk along a muddy dirt road. Once there, only the highway destroys the tranquility of this rare agricultural land in the Val de Marne... "We're carrying the plow before the bulls!"

Defying expectations, the Department of Justice on November 2, 2023, disclosed a request for proposals to "develop, implement and improve the Nuazo Prison".

There is a tender for' 'to build an 800-bed prison at a cost of 175.9 million euros, excluding taxes. Candidates need to hurry up because their applications have to be submitted to the ministry by December 5. This is a perfectly normal step in the construction of a public building, but it still provokes some reactions: "It surprises me a bit that a tender has been called because we still don't have information about the moisture and soil studies," Noiso mayor Yvan Femel told Val-de-Marne magazine. Modem MP Modem Mod Petit is not behind either.
