Data on sales of old housing and their characteristics (area, number of rooms, type of rooms...) are provided by the notaries based on transactions concluded during the quarter. The Notaires-Insee indices take into account the type of property (house or apartment) and the geographical area. They are then aggregated to obtain a national index.
