Phra Cru Visittammasophone anoints one of thousands of worshippers in a ritual aimed at helping landowners sell their properties.
PATTAYA, Thailand - A unique ritual to help land owners sell their properties was performed by Abbot Phra Kru Wisitthammasophon, also known as Luang Por Sanga, at Khao Mai Daeng Temple in Bang Phra, Sri Racha, on Oct. 14. It was an unusual real estate transaction; it included a divine blessing from a deity called Phra Mae Torani, the Earth Goddess.
Thousands of people gathered at the temple, each paying at least 21 baht to take part in this remarkable event. The ceremony allowed individuals, including property owners and real estate agents, to present their lands for sale, bringing ownership documents, land titles and photographs with a total value of more than 25 billion baht.
The purpose of the ritual was not just to complete transactions; it was a spiritual enterprise seeking blessings and divine protection for real estate. It was believed that through this ceremony, potential adversaries could turn into allies, facilitating smoother real estate transactions.
Interested persons were asked to bring property documents, including names and contact numbers of owners, to the temple registration desk by 2:00 pm. Anointing of the documents began at 16:00.
The revered abbot of Luang Por Sang conducts this sacred land sale ritual every Saturday of the month.
