Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) - Depressive business environment, unstimulating tax policy, political background, uncertainty and unstable business conditions have made Montenegro uncompetitive for foreign investors over the past three years, said Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP Nikola Milovic.

"Net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Montenegro decreased by almost 50 percent compared to the period from January to September last year. The total net FDI inflow amounted to only 320.37 million euros. All types of investments showed a significant downward trend, with the exception of real estate, which showed an increase of 4 percent ", Milovic wrote on his profile in the''social network X, formerly Twitter.

He added that FPIs are crucial for Montenegro's economic growth and development.
