October 27 (SeeNews) - Real estate management company Nikola Tesla Aerodrom (BEL: AERO), the former operator of the international airport in Serbia's capital Belgrade, said on Friday it recorded a net profit of 34.1 million dinars ($307,900/291,100 euros) for the first nine months of 2023, compared to a net profit of 44.4 million dinars reported for the same period last year.

Revenues increased to 754.1 million dinars in the nine months from January to September, compared to 526.1 million dinars in the same period last year, while operating expenses amounted to 715.1 million dinars against 650.2 dinars, the Nikola Tesla Aerodrom company said in a written report to the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

In March 2018, French company Vinci Airports signed a 25-year concession agreement with Serbia to terminate Belgrade airport operations from Aerodrom Nikola Tesla.

In addition to operations, the agreement includes financing, maintenance, expansion and modernization of the airport. Under the terms of the deal, Vinci Airports paid 417 million euros to the Serbian government and 84 million euros to the retail shareholders of Nikola Tesla Aerodrom for the concession, as well as annual concession fees ranging from 4.4 million to 15.1 million euros.

The concession process began in December 2018 as the core business of Nikola Tesla Aerodromo became mainly rental and property management, according to the company's website.
