Children's masterpieces in the Wyndford World exhibition

Sharon Duffy, a teacher at North Kelvinside Primary School, said: "We had 24 children take part in the project and they really enjoyed it. "The subjects reflect what is important to young people. One of the children chose prayer beads because they reminded him of his mom. They also reflect the diversity of the school. "The love that young people have for these items really shines through. Wyndford is also their home and now everyone at Wyndford can see what is important to them. "They are all proud to have their art on display. "
Joanna Oliveira, 11, who lives in Wyndford, said: "I chose the bracelet I got in Portugal.
The regeneration of the Wyndford area of Maryhill by Wheatley Homes Glasgow will see four unpopular residential towers demolished and hundreds of new homes built in their place. Artwork will be displayed on enclosing fences throughout the area.
Frank McCafferty, Wheatley's group asset and refurbishment director, said: "It is very important to us that the community is actively involved in the regeneration of the Wyndford area. "We want people of all ages to get involved and this fantastic art will be part of the story of the transformation of the area. "
