Donald Trump was fined $10,000 on Wednesday after a judge in his New Yorkreal estate fraud case ruled he had violated a public comment ban a second time. During a break, Trump told reporters that Judge Arthur Engoron is "a very partisan judge, and there may be an even more partisan person next to him." In response, Engoron said he believed Trump was talking about his attorney Michael Cohen, who was testifying. However, Trump expressed his displeasure with the clerk of the court. He stated, "I think she's very biased against us.
Justice Engoron ruled
that Trump's rebuttal of what he said about the court clerk to the press is 'unconvincing.' The judge previously explained the reason''s photo remained visible on his campaign website for two weeks after the ban.
Engoron threatened Trump's possible arrest for repeated violations. In a statement, he wrote: "Be in no doubt, future violations, whether intentional or not, warn of the possibility of more severe measures that could include higher financial penalties, outlawing Donald Trump and possibly imprisoning him.
