Two men taken into custody by the Civil Division are accused of violently robbing an Alcazar apartment building.

In the Siberian city of Irkutsk, two people have been detained under suspicion of grand theft from a country house. The criminals broke in by breaking doors and windows and stole several valuable items.

The investigation revealed that one of the detainees was illegally selling jewelry stolen from a relative.

Crime detection

The State Guard became aware of the crime after receiving a report of a theft from a country house in the suburbs of Irkutsk. The kidnappers stole several items including a gasoline generator, washer, drill and chainsaw. Inspectors noted that the criminals gained entry into the home by breaking the doors and windows with a crowbar or similar object.

While investigating, State Guard authorities discovered that the thieves traveled to the city of Irkutsk to sell the stolen items at thrift stores.

The recovery of stolen goods

The State Guard was finally able to apprehend both criminals and return the stolen goods and jewelry to their rightful owners. The perpetrators will be brought to court where they will have to answer for their crimes. The investigation of this case was transferred to the Investigative Court of Irkutsk.
