James Corden will renovate an £8million uninhabitable house after selling his American home

James Corden, 44, has stepped down as host of The Late Late Show after eight and a half years hosting the program. Along with the career change, he made the grand move of moving his family back to the UK. He and his wife Julia and their three children - Max, 12, Carey, eight, and five-year-old Charlotte - have all moved back home. So where does James live now?

The actor and comedian has a huge £8 million country estate located in the town of Wokingham.

However, after the failure of domestic conditions, the house fell into disrepair.

In early 2023, the local authority granted permission for James to demolish the property and build a new home. It is anticipated that these works could commence in the near future.

The existing estate has a lodge with a heated pool and tennis court, but we're sure James' new home will be even better.

Interestingly, there is also a Grade II listed historic stone circle on the estate, which was moved from Jersey in 1788. Although the Isle of Jersey has expressed a desire to return the stone circle to its grounds, for the time being they remain on the James estate.

We will wait to see what the results of the project will be and how it will conclude.

Why did James Corden leave the United States?

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, James revealed the motivation behind his surprise decision, saying: "I'm just leaving the show mainly because we're a long way from home and we really want our kids to know what it's like to grow up in London, to have close relationships with grandparents, and that time can't be taken back."

James also has other projects in the works, which he told viewers while filming "Late Show," "I still have a few things I want to do," he told Deadline.
