It's said George Clooney will keep his famous Lake Como villa after several reports said the luxury home is up for sale - a deal that could be one of the biggest celebrity real estate deals of all time.

George Clooney's Oleander villa in Northern Italy

George Clooney's Oleander Villa in Northern Italy was purchased by him from the Heinz family in 2002, according to Architectural Digest magazine. Stars such as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Jennifer Aniston and Matt Damon have since visited. The villa has 25 rooms, tennis courts, gym, garage with a collection of retro motorcycles, movie room, swimming pool, basketball court and two docks on Lake Como.

The value and negation of the sale

Last year, The Wall Street Journal reported that the value of the home that Clooney bought for about $14 million is now over $100 million thanks to the so-called "Clooney effect." But the actor himself has denied reports of the villa's sale, saying they are untrue.

Major sales among celebrities

If the deal had gone through, it would have been one of the biggest sales among celebrities.
