Investing in real estate is a traditional way for our citizens to invest, and apartments and houses are their first choice, judging from the latest reports from the real estate market.

Although the prices for square meters are still high, it is possible to find a house in Serbia for less than 15,000 euros. In some cases renovations are required and in others you can get a garden and parking, it all depends, by the good old rule of thumb of this market, on the location.

The houses that are priced so low are usually in rural areas surrounded by nature, which is the first requirement for many buyers as they want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, there are also many that are closer to the periphery of the cities, even in the cities themselves.

We have selected the top 10 houses you can buy for 15,000 euros. Some require an investment, others do not, but one thing is for sure - these properties will find their owner sooner or later.

Top 10 houses for 15,000 euros

A smaller family house in Zrenjanin can be found for 14,000 euros! As stated in the ad, this summer house is of standard construction and it comes with a rectangular-shaped plot of 13 hectares. It is noted that heating is by electric furnace and the house has off street parking, a summer house and orchard and another ancillary building. The site also advertises another offer at a price of 14,000 euros, which refers to a rural house in the village of Samoš in Kovačice. It is a property of 70 square meters in good condition and the offer also includes a plot of land of 30 hectares. The owner emphasized that minimal investment is required, but tenants can move in right away. The garden is suitable for a greenhouse or growing fruits and vegetables.

In Melenci, a house of 56 square meters is for sale for 12,000 euros! This single-storey house consists of two rooms, a kitchen with dining area, a corridor and a bathroom, and heating is by solid fuel. It also has an ancillary building of 18 square meters attached to it. You can also buy a house in the Banat area for 13,900 euros. The house is old and has a good location as it is in the resort area and from Zrenjanin it is 10 minutes drive. Interestingly, the owner also indicates the possibility of exchanging it for a house near Belgrade, one of the online ads says.

If you want "a house with great potential and a beautiful plot," you can buy it for 13,000 euros in Ravnje selu.

The squat house in Ciuprija costs 14,500 euros and is located among greenery and flowers, with a total area of 74 square meters, is indicated on one advertising website. Seven kilometers from the resort of Sokobanja you can find an old house of about 60 square meters for 13,000 euros, registered but in need of renovation. It is surrounded by nature in a village that is located at an altitude of 530 meters above sea level.

A house in the countryside near Svilainz of 150 square meters can be bought for 10,500 euros! The ad was placed a few days ago and suggests that the house comes with an ancillary building of 50 square meters, as well as a spacious basement and an orchard. It has recently been renovated and new PVC windows have been installed, says the owner of the house.

For 1,000 euros more, that is, for 11,000 euros, houses are for sale in the neighborhood of Schieda. This property type belongs to older buildings, is in good condition, single-story, and there is a garage and an accessory building on the lot. The total area of the house is about 100 square meters!

For the sum of 15,000 euros, you can buy a property in Uzdin with an area of even 140 square meters! On a plot of 10.75 hectares there are three buildings made of sturdy material, there is a basement and a parking lot. It is about 60 kilometers from Belgrade.
