Have you ever dreamed of organizing a bullfight on your own property? For most foreign residents, the answer will likely be a resounding no. But for a few aspiring toreros, this dream could become a reality thanks to a unique piece of real estate that is up for sale.

The incredible estate of former official Juan Antonio Roca, one of the most corrupt officials in Marbella, has just been put up for sale in southern Spain for €6.95 million. The impressive finca La Morisca was the pride and joy of the Urban Planning Office, headed by the notoriously infamous Juan Antonio Roca, who was found guilty of leading the ill-famed Malaya case.

Court trial

As part of this scheme, 53 officials from dozens of cities in Andalusia were implicated in the embezzlement of public funds, breach of trust, influence peddling, and other offenses between 1991 and 2006. Juan Roca, 71, amassed a fortune estimated at no less than €125 million, and even had a priceless painting by Joan Miró hanging above his toilet. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison but only served 12 years due to his "exemplary behavior" behind bars and was released in February 2019.

Now his stunning estate

Confiscated by the authorities, it is being sold by Lucas Fox Properties on behalf of an investment fund.

It was previously listed for sale in 2020 for €4 million, which means its value has increased by almost €3 million over the past four years. A representative from Lucas Fox stated to Olive Press: "The property is available for purchase now, and we expect it to generate a lot of interest."

The La Marisca estate

It is located in the picturesque town of Jimena de la Frontera in Cádiz and covers an area of 363 hectares. It features a corridor, a helipad, and three separate living quarters. Additionally, there is a small wildlife sanctuary on the estate. The finca consists of the main house, a separate apartment, and an entrance tower, encompassing an area of 1,385 sq.m. There is also a chapel on the premises for those who wish to confess.
