You can really stay in the incredibly luxurious villa from "Glass Onion."
The glamorous setting of the "Knives Out" sequel is a true resort in the Peloponnese region of Greece.
Thanks to its fairy-tale brightness, captivating plot with numerous twists, and Daniel Craig's wonderfully strange accent as detective Benoit Blanc, it's no surprise that "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" became such a hit during the New Year holidays. However, a huge part of the film's appeal lies in its locations. While the first film "Knives Out" took place in a mansion reminiscent of the one from the game "Clue," located in Massachusetts, USA, the second film heads to a house called "Glass Onion" on a private estate on a fictional Greek island named Pisseshait. And surprisingly, you can actually visit many of the filming locations in real life. A real hotel and resort called Amanzoe served as "Glass Onion" and hosted Blanc and his company. And although the resort is not actually on a Greek island but on a part of mainland Greece called Peloponnese, it still offers stunning views of the Ionian Sea and rows of olive groves.
In fact, most of the filming in Greece took place on the island of Spetses, which is located in the Saronic Gulf. The port of Dapia on the northern coast of Spetses was specifically used for the scene where the characters were waiting for the yacht. Many scenes in the film were not shot in Greece at all.
Don't doubt it, Amanzoe is quite an exclusive place to stay. Some apartments at the resort cost up to $2,000 (£1,655) per night, which, however you look at it, is quite expensive. The prices for Villa 20, where most of "Glass Onion" was filmed, are available upon request. In any case, Amanzoe is open to the public and will open for the summer season of 2023 on April 1.
