Georgakopoulos (Intrum): High technology for quality services.
At the NPL Europe 2024 event organized by Smith Novak in London, Giorgos Georgakopoulos, Intrum's Global Head of Services and Managing Director of Intrum in Greece, emphasized that their company is committed to providing high quality services based on modern technology, with a focus on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for digital collections and customer interaction at the billing and payment stage.
Georgakopoulos noted:
- Companies that trust them to manage their requirements indicate that they primarily choose them because of their professionalism and knowledge of their industry.
- Intrum's clients include banks, telecommunication and insurance companies, medium-sized enterprises of various spheres of activity and others.
In addition, investment in technology is key to improving efficiency and adding value through new and innovative solutions. In this regard, Intrum acquired two companies - Ophelos in the UK, which specializes in digital collections, and eCollect in Germany, which collaborates with customers already at the e-invoicing stage.
The head of services at Intrum Group suggested that investment activity in the claims management market in Europe will recover as the European level, as evidenced by the deals.
Georgakopoulos noted that market activity is seen in Southern Europe mainly among the banking sector, with other sectors in the rest of Europe.
In this regard, mergers or acquisitions are possible, such as Intrum's recent takeover of an important platform in the UK active in investment and management, as well as another important real estate platform in Spain.
