He also spoke about the development of Greek wine, its promotion and importance in foreign markets.

More specifically, he noted that "it is an increase of 21% proportionally in the EU and about 11% in third countries." He also emphasized that not only exports have increased in volume, but the average price of export units has also increased, which is a very important element in the wine market.

Explaining the biggest challenges affecting Greek wine, he talked about how weather conditions affect production, saying that "the biggest problem we face in Greece, first of all, is the lack of water in the vineyard." He also talked about exposure in Belgium, a joint effort with the Hellenic Wine Association and Greek wineries to enter the Belgian market and gain a large share in major producing regions such as France, Spain and Italy.
