AI will bring Edith Piaf's voice to life to create a biographical movie.

ИИ оживит голос Эдит Пиаф для создания биографического фильма.

The new biographical film about the life of Edith Piaf will use artificial intelligence to allow the French star herself to tell her story, Warner Music and her heirs announced Nov. 14.

"Edith" is in the final stages of development, sources close to Warner Music France said, but no release date has yet been set.

In its announcement of an "innovative and groundbreaking technology project using AI to recreate her voice and image," it noted that this comes 60 years after Piaf's death.

This also follows the success of The Beatles' latest release 'Now And Then', which, thanks to a little help from AI, climbed to number one in the UK charts last week and became the band's first single at that position in 54 years. Artificial intelligence has helped isolate John Lennon's late vocals from a recording he made in 1978, two years before he was killed.

The two surviving members of The Beatles - Paul McCartney, 81, and Ringo Starr, 83 - completed the song "Now And Then" last year, including George Harrison's guitar parts recorded in 1995.

The singer of French classics "La vie en Rose" and "Non, je ne regrette rien" will use artificial intelligence to recreate her unique style and "further enhance the authenticity and emotional intensity of her story." Original recordings will be used for her biggest hits, Warner said.

The 90-minute movie will move between Paris and New York from 1920 to 1960 and will be heralded as the voice of the singer herself, including previously unknown "aspects of her life".
