2020

Before Erling reached the age of 21, he reportedly already owned real estate in Spain - thanks to his father's decision to invest in the city of Málaga. Not much is known about this particular estate, but Erling's agent, Mino Raiola, has revealed that his client owned the house around the same time the soccer star supposedly told fans, "I will play here in Spain," while on vacation in Marbella with his family (in December 2021). The statement made headlines around the world.

Erling was on the verge of leaving Borussia Dortmund, and there were rumors that he would sign with a new team, possibly in Spain.

2022

By the spring of 2022, Erling had given new fuel to the rumors by buying a $7.12 million mansion in Marbella, Spain. The 22,507 square foot property includes a spacious living room, sauna and an impressive outdoor space with a large pool, outdoor shower and garden with multiple seating areas. Around 4,000 square feet of the facility is underground, providing maximum privacy and security for the sports superstar.

After two seasons playing in Germany for Borussia Dortmund and despite rumors of his move to the Spanish team, Erling moved to Manchester City, signing a five-year, multi-million dollar contract. Naturally, the footballer was looking for a new place to call home. At the time, it was reported that Erling was interested in Manchester United star Paul Pogba's stunning six-bedroom estate in Cheshire, worth an estimated $3.8 million. Features of this property included a heated pool, sauna, gym and a so-called "P.P. Arena," Pogba's indoor soccer field equipped with LED lighting and an electronic scoreboard. However, it seems Erling ultimately preferred city life to a more bucolic location in Cheshire, and Pogba has put the mansion up for rent in August 2023 for $8,000 a week. It is unclear where Erling currently resides in Manchester, but the British newspaper Mirror reports that his home is equipped with a cryotherapy chamber worth more than $60,000.
