An interactive digital real estate price map displays the value of real estate in Greece.

A new digital platform providing an interactive map of real estate value zones in the country was launched on Monday. The online tool, presented by the Greek Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of e-Government, allows property owners to find out which zones their assets fall into.

Visitors to www.valuemaps.gov.gr can find out what zones properties are zoned in and get information on so-called "objective prices" to calculate a property's market value and estimate additional costs and taxes.

The map is in the early stages of development and will be updated and become more detailed in the coming months.

The platform was created using geographic information system (GIS) technology to create a satellite map of the country's terrain divided into real estate market pricing zones. Different areas can be mapped simultaneously for useful comparisons.

Users can access the system without having to enter a username, password or other personal information.

Property owners can use the platform by simply entering an address or zip code. After entering the data, they immediately get an accurate idea of the value of the property, which was previously not available because objective and real values did not match.
