'More than 1.5 tons of marijuana seized in PM de Toledo's Bandeirantes garden'

In an operation, police seized a large quantity of marijuana from a house in the city of Toledo, in western Paraná. The action took place on Portugal Street in the Jardin Bandeirantes neighborhood, late Monday morning (October 30).
Colonel Jorge Aparecido Fritola, commander of the 19th Police Battalion, explained:
The intelligence service of the 19th Police Battalion has been monitoring this location for some time. With suspicion and the possibility of drugs in the house, officers from the Radio Patrol and Intelligence Service went to the address and found drugs.
The house was found to contain various bags of drugs, totaling 1,528 kilograms.
The commander of the 19th Police Battalion says 26 tons of marijuana have been seized this year alone as a result of intensive work, often in conjunction with other security agencies.
