'What is the life of the real estate sold by the state in recent years?'

In 2022, the property sector was one of the fastest growing sectors in Parpública and continues to grow through Estamo, Consest, Baía do Tejo and Fundiestamo.

Also in 2022, activity was influenced by the work of the newly created (in November 2022) "Cabeço da Bola" sub-fund of the National Fund for the Rehabilitation of Buildings (FNRE).

If it is true that in 2022 the property legacy of public ownership is profitable, what will happen to the properties sold by the state in recent years.

According to ECO Portal, properties sold by Estamo, the state property agency, are getting new life, although some remain unchanged or unoccupied. The article cites the following''examples:

• The Cabeço da Bola apartment in Lisbon, which has been taken over by Fundiestamo, will be converted into residential space;
• The former Miguel Bombarda Hospital in Lisbon is earmarked for affordable rental programs;
• The former Desterro Hospital in Lisbon has been sold for 10.5 million euros to the tenants themselves, Mainside Investments, who planned to create a hotel complex and restaurant area;
• The property on Dom Carlos de Mascarenhas street in Lisbon, which is now the Zurin Charm Hotel;
• The property on Rua da Restauração in Porto is now the Torel Avantgarde;
• The property on Rua Braamcamp in Lisbon was sold to KSHG - Real Estate Investments and is now the address of Pestana Lisboa Vintage;
• The former mansion on Estrada de Benfica in Lisbon has been sold''Splendimension together with an office building and services for 22.6 million euros.

The same publication notes that Estamo, for example, will cooperate in the Rent to Sublease program, which is part of the Mais Habitação package and aims to voluntarily rent residential units to private individuals.
