Kamila Rebelo and Susana Martins Ktima House Greece | Floornature

On the Greek island of Antiparos, architects Camilo Rebelo and Susana Martins have created a unique house called Ktima, located in a green area on a steep slope where only a few trees grow. The name Ktima translates from Greek as farm or plot of fertile land. The foundation of the project consists of two key aspects: the existing walls at various levels and the flat spaces that arose as a result. When viewed from above, the house appears as a long white interrupted line, harmoniously blending into the local landscape. From the sea side, the building looks as if it has both a solid and fragmented facade, reminiscent of an ancient fortress.
