The Andretti F1 team officially opens a new building in Silverstone.
The team was recognized by the FIA in October last year, but did not pass the second stage of the process as its application was not approved by F1 in a statement on January 31. The project remains in limbo while discussions continue behind the scenes. The team is still aiming to participate in 2026 if an agreement is reached with F1. Despite the lack of confirmation of participation, the team is moving forward with its plans, and the new facility is the most prominent sign that their ambitions to enter the grid remain unchanged.
So far, the design team has been working in a temporary office at Silverstone Park, opposite the British Grand Prix venue. The team has now begun the move to a new 40,000 square foot building nearby, with the aero department already in place and the mechanical department to follow.

If participation is finally approved for 2026, it is planned to use the Renault engine during the first two seasons under the new rules, before switching to the Cadillac engine in 2028. It was also mentioned that starting a new project could be successful, as the team will be able to build everything from scratch and apply new modern ideas in design. The team aims to become fully American with American owners, American cars, and ultimately American drivers.
