The company ASSA ABLOY acquires Nomadix and Global Reach in the USA and the UK.

ASSA ABLOY has entered into an agreement to acquire Nomadix and Global Reach, leading providers of Wi-Fi access and platform solutions for the hospitality and commercial real estate sectors in the USA and the UK. These companies offer comprehensive technology platforms that include hardware and software, as well as analytics tools for secure connectivity and interaction with customers and devices through Wi-Fi networks.

It is said that the acquisition of Nomadix and Global Reach is an important technological addition to the ASSA ABLOY group and will strengthen the existing offerings in the hospitality sector, as well as provide additional growth opportunities.

The companies Nomadix and Global Reach, founded in 1998 and employing around 120 people, will operate as two separate entities under centralized top management and ownership, and will also become part of the Global Solutions business area in the hospitality sector. The sales turnover for 2023 was approximately MUSD 30 (around MSEK 300) with a high net profit.

The acquisition will be an addition to earnings per share from the very beginning. The agreement is subject to the approval of standard closing conditions and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024.
