Capgemini acquires Belgrade-based HDL Design House.
Capgemini has completed its second acquisition in a month, this time acquiring HDL Design House, an engineering firm with a staff of300 employees. The headquarters of HDL Design House is located in the capital of Serbia, the city of Belgrade, and specializes in the development of silicon products. The majority of the company's revenue is generated from two segments: the semiconductor industry and the automotive industry. Both sectors utilize HDL Design House's expertise in the development and verification of silicon chips to create more powerful, intelligent, and connected products.
HLD Design House is a leader in silicon innovation.
The Serbian company will become part of Capgemini Engineering, a division of Capgemini that specializes in technical engineering and research and development (this division is based on the acquisition of Altran for 3.6 billion euros). Capgemini Engineering primarily serves the industrial and high-tech sectors, where semiconductors are a "key element of the industrial intelligence revolution" currently taking place, said Roze.
The services for the development of silicon products are an important component of the merger of products, software, data, and services for industrial leaders.Commenting on the merger with a global consulting and technology firm, Przhegrag Markovich, President and CEO of HDL Design House, stated: "After 22 years of gaining experience in the implementation of systems on a chip and continuously expanding our capabilities in chip design services, we are looking forward to the start of a new chapter."
"Joining Capgemini is a natural next step for us, as we will become part of an important global and multidisciplinary organization. This is a very exciting prospect for HDL Design House, our clients, and employees." Earlier this month, Capgemini also announced the acquisition of Exiger's Financial Crime Compliance division, which brought a team of financial crime prevention experts to Capgemini in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
