As of April 18, 2024, CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP), a leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, and analytics, announced that it was selected as one of the best places to work in the U.S. for 2024 in Richmond by the Richmond Times-Dispatch. This was the first year that CoStar Group was considered for the award, which was based on employee surveys conducted by a neutral third party, the employee opinion research firm Energage.

Last year, the company promoted 1,021 employees to new internal positions and maintained an average monthly retention rate of 99.1%. In addition, the company is emphasizing a premium training program where employees spend an average of 54 hours of training in 2023, a 22.7% increase over the previous year.

1,774 companies, non-profit organizations, and government institutions were invited to participate in a survey about the best places to work in the USA, and 130 were surveyed, marking the largest number in the 11-year history of the award. Employees of the CoStar group left over 2,500 comments about their experiences working at the company.
