Competition for the conceptual architectural design of a hospital facility in the "Danilo I" complex of the City Hospital in Cetinje

The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property of Montenegro has announced an international competition for the development of a conceptual architectural project for a hospital building located within the "Danilo I" Complex in the city of Cetinje. The main task of the competition is to create this design solution on land plot number 5 (quarter 22) in accordance with the Detailed Urban Plan "Historical Center of Cetinje" (Official Gazette of Montenegro - Municipal Regulations, number 28/15). The area of the competition site is 2,852 m2.

Competition deadlines:

The competition starts on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Participants must submit their applications by 11:59 PM (local time in Montenegro) on Sunday, January 21, 2024. The announcement of the competition results is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024. After the jury's final decision and the submission of the final report, the results will be published on the official competition website.

• Dr. Ivan Ivanovich, a pediatric specialist and director of "Danilo I" in Cetinje – an expert;
• Slyadana Milivojevic, architect (architectural bureau "Dva Studio") – expert;
• Maya Milich AlekichCandidate of Architecture, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy at the University of Banja Luka – expert;
• Dr. Dragan Komatina, an architect – an associate professor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Podgorica, a representative of the Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro – an expert;
• Balša Perović, the director of the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage – an expert.

Prize fund of the competition:

• First place –12,000.00 €;
• Second place –7,000.00 €;
• Third place –3,000.00 €;
• Three honorable mentions for1,000.00 €.

Participation conditions:

Every individual who has a residence or a registered office in Montenegro has the right to participate in the competition.

No registration is required to participate; you can join without paying any fees.
