Queen Camilla relies on ex-husband Andrew Bowles - 120 characters.

After Buckingham Palace announced King Charles' cancer diagnosis, Queen Camilla temporarily suspended her apparent "Camilla is the last man standing, she rules the bastard herself" campaign. She gave herself two weeks, and now she is ready to resume the same campaign. "Sources close to Camilla" reached out to Camilla Tominey in the Telegraph to talk about how Camilla is coping these days, how amazing she is, participating in events while her husband has cancer, and how Camilla is surrounded by loyal friends. The information about Camilla's inner circle isn't that surprising - she's well connected in aristocratic circles, and has been her whole life, and these are the same women who helped her confuse Diana and destroy Charles' first marriage.

At the end of this article, there is another funny aspect of Camille's relationship with her ex-husband. Some highlights:

  • Camilla spent Valentine's Day with friends: It was an intimate gathering to celebrate the Valentine's Day of some of the Queen's close advisors. Organized by her friend Giles Brandriff, the evening finally allowed Camilla to relax after a stressful two weeks. Joined by sister Annabel Elliot and friends like Dame Judi Dench, Dame Joanna Lumley and Sir Stephen Fry, this 'Slavic Shakespearean Evening' was designed to bring joy after the King's cancer diagnosis. Although the 75-year-old monarch was expected to attend the event, following another round of treatment in London on Wednesday, he left his wife behind to enjoy an evening of performances by stage and movie stars. As the King's 'rock of support', Camilla has once again put her first foot forward to fulfill her promise, in the best interests of crown and country.
  • Camilla supports the move: If the shocking news about her husband's health has affected the Queen, she certainly doesn't show it, continuing to live up to her reputation as someone who is "fine with everything". Even a visit from Prince Harry, who called her a "cursed" stepmother in his autobiography, hasn't embarrassed her. As a source close to the couple notes, "It was amazing how the Queen kept going forward." The Queen, the King and Prince William know their fate, but Camilla, a relative newcomer to the royal family, is entitled to more coverage. She is a grandmother, but she is also a wife, and she must support her husband. Anyone who has had the experience of being in a relationship with someone who has battled cancer knows how difficult it is for a spouse.
  • Camilla still gets plenty of support from her ex-husband: One person in her life she is increasingly dependent on is her ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles. Some were surprised to see the former army officer, 84, at the coronation ceremony and they are still in 'regular contact', according to someone who knows both well. As one friend previously explained: 'He organizes so much for her. They always have lunch together. He's always there for her. He is and always has been Camilla's accomplice." Known as 'The Brigadier', Andrew grew closer to Camilla, whom he divorced in 1995, after the death of his second wife Rosemary Pitman in 2010 - although they were never on bad terms, as Parker Bowles' invitation to the royal wedding in 2005 shows. The former military man is seen as the last great supporter of Camilla so she can keep calm and keep working while the King battles cancer.

[From the Telegraph] We've heard many times before that Camilla has a warm relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles, but I still find it strange that he's the one "organizing so much" for her. We had previously heard that they were still "inseparable" - this was when we learned that he would be attending the coronation ceremony, which was truly a victory for Camilla and a matter for the entire Parker-Bowles family. What can we say about it?

Camilla, as always, is ahead of the royal thug show and is positioning herself to have control over everything that happens. What is happening now with Camilla's PR campaign during her husband's cancer treatment is part of her victory march.
