The largest international real estate company enters the Serbian market.

Recently at a press conference at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, it was announced that Keller Williams, the world's largest real estate company, is expanding into Europe. They have entered into a new franchise agreement with the real estate agency Cvetković-Roškov.
According to State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Uroš Kandić, this step is a significant development for the real estate market in Serbia and indicates the availability of partners capable of meeting the needs of foreign companies, as well as the reduction of illegal transactions in this area. He also noted that the introduction of the register of real estate intermediaries and licenses for real estate transactions has made this area of activity more transparent and legal for citizens. The registry has already registered 984 private entrepreneurs and about 2,600 agents. Kandić also noted that about 1,000 more have a license but are not currently working.
Branislava Simanic, Manager of the Entrepreneurship Department at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, explained that a franchise is a business partnership in which a successful company in a certain territory provides its trademark and the franchisee pays financial remuneration for the right to use this brand. She added that the entry of Keller Williams into the Serbian market represents an opportunity to create new jobs through the formation of a network of their high-level agents throughout the country.
Zarko Malinović, Deputy Director of the Trade Department of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, said that the Cvetković-Rošković Agency has a long tradition in this field. He also said that starting this year, PKS will issue ID cards for licensed intermediaries, in addition to the already existing registry.
Ana Ilic, Senior Advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister, said that the arrival of Keller Williams in Serbia is a positive signal and shows that the country is economically stable and prosperous, where investors want to invest their money. She added that big projects such as Belgrade on Water are attracting more and more foreign investors in the real estate sector. Now Serbia is increasingly interested in both businessmen and tourists, as well as foreigners who want to live and work in the country. This is why Belgrade ranks among the top places in the world rankings for digital nomads.
General Director of Keller Williams in Serbia Miroslav Cvetkovic explained that this was largely achieved thanks to the introduction of the Law on Mediation in Real Estate Transactions in 2013. He also announced that the company plans to open centers in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nišu, Subotica and Kragujevac in the coming years. Serbia thus joins the world map, which turns out to be 50 countries with 190,000 real estate agents working under the auspices of this company.
