In 2000, Campera Outlet Shopping, the first outlet center in Portugal, was opened in Carregado. It has an area of about 23 thousand square meters and a total of 124 stores. Ferrara Plaza in Pachos de Ferreira is the largest shopping center in the Vale de Sousa region, with 28,000 square meters and a total of 92 stores, including Sportzone, Benetton, ForteStore, Seaside, Salsa and Vila Nova, as well as anchor tenant Continente.
