The famous Khiri family
The Hiry family is one of the most well-known in Atlanta's history. Hiry Sr., the father of George, who passed away two years ago at the age of 93, helped develop historical landmarks - the Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium and the Georgia Dome. He also contributed to the creation of facilities on the Emory University campus and the Atlanta History Center. His father and family were also very politically progressive, as Hiry Sr. supported Andrew Young when he won a seat in Congress in 1970.
The Khiri brothers are leading producers and real estate experts.
Georg and his brother Neil joined forces in business, working together and being regarded as "leading producers and experts" in the development of luxury real estate in prestigious areas such as Buckhead, Sandy Springs, and others. "The Khiri brothers are still active producers," his biography stated. The brothers worked together at Sotheby's for nearly 16 years, starting in October 2007. As brothers in business, they received the "Best Small Team" award in 2010, 2011, and 2013, as well as the "Best Small Team in Buckhead" award in 2012 and 2013, as noted on Georg Khiri's LinkedIn. From 2014 to 2018, they averaged over $34 million in real estate sales per year.
Hobbies and education of Khiri
In his LinkedIn profile, Khiri described his favorite activities, such as swimming, cycling, and running. He earned his bachelor's degree from The Catholic University of America in 1991, and then a master's degree in business administration from Georgia State University in 1996, with a focus on real estate.
Khiri was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries, the police reported. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Philip's Cathedral in Atlanta. Instead of flowers, the "Brothers of Khiri" social media post requests donations to Atlanta Lab Rescue, an organization close to his heart.
