Malaysian real estate billionaire Jeffrey Cheah is expanding his ambitions in the healthcare sector by opening seven new hospitals by 2030.

Sunway Sanctuary

At Sunway Sanctuary, occupying the top 16 floors of a new building outside Kuala Lumpur, unusually luxurious services are provided. There is an infinity pool with a stunning view, a 24-hour concierge, a cinema, karaoke boxes, and mahjong rooms - all like in a five-star hotel. However, Sunway Sanctuary is a premium offering for seniors.

Sunway Healthcare

Sunway Medical Centre is located on the lower floors of the building.

It is expected that by 2027, Sunway Healthcare's business will grow to 2.3 billion ringgit. Sunway is also considering adding new types of healthcare to its ecosystems not only in Malaysia but also in other countries.

One of the challenges for Cheah's ambitions is finding qualified staff. Sunway Group also promotes its businesses in the fields of education and tourism.
