Mansion Global Daily: Las Vegas home listings drop by more than 50 %

According to data from Las Vegas real estate agents, new home sales offers in the city are down 52% from a year ago. However, Las Vegas is the only U.S. city that saw an increase in pending real estate sales in July, according to a Redfin report. Still, home prices fell 3.5 percent over the past four weeks, the fourth-largest home price drop in the nation. The average value of a single-family home in the region fell just 0.1 percent from June to July to $499,173, which is also nearly unchanged from a year ago.

Milwaukee Bucks head coach and former NBA forward DeMarr Carroll is selling his home in suburban Atlanta, which is listed for sale for $3.6 million. This 16,000-square-foot stone mansion is located in the suburb of Braslton and has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and six toilets. Interior features include a spiral staircase, two-story foyer, floor-to-ceiling windows and cassette ceilings. Other features include a half basketball court, a games room, a home theater and a huge shoe closet so large it can be converted into an extra room.

Search from the Resolution Foundation shows that UK renters spend almost four times as much of their income on rent as homeowners on mortgage payments, indicating a worsening wealth gap in the country.

The last parcel of the Rockefeller family estate in Greenwich, Connecticut, sold for $18.35 million. The 54-acre woodland site was purchased by Greenwich Academy, a private girls' school. This tract of land has been in the family for over 100 years, beginning with the purchase of the land by John D.'s brother. Rockefeller by William A. Rockefeller in the 1870s. While Greenwich Academy has not specifically announced what the land will be used for, the school said there is a "wide range of opportunities" including sports facilities, environmental initiatives and teacher housing.
