Melania Trump is quietly rethinking the prenup - the media

The former US first lady Melania Trump has "quietly" renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with husband Donald Trump as legal problems pile up for the former president, the New York Post reports.
The Slovenian-born former model, who has maintained a low profile since Joe Biden became U.S. president in January 2021, has changed the terms of the agreement to secure her financial future as well as that of their 17-year-old son Barron Trump, according to the newspaper, citing anonymous sources.
The report comes just days after a judge in New York found that Donald Trump committed massive and sustained real estate fraud, including during his presidency, artificially inflating the value of his assets by billions of dollars.
"This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her prenuptial agreement," the source told the New York Post. "Melania's biggest concern is preserving and enlarging a substantial trust for their son Barron. "
According to the report, Melania Trump's legal team began talks with Donald Trump's representatives last year, around the time the former president began hinting that he was preparing to vie for a return to the White House in the 2024 presidential election.
Donald Trump has since faced a host of legal challenges, including four criminal charges and possible imprisonment. He denies all allegations of illegal actions.
"It doesn't mean she threatened him to leave," the source told the New York Post.
Besides the New York real estate fraud case, Donald Trump is also facing a slew of other legal challenges. He faces charges of making illegal payments to "silent partners" and willfully mishandling classified government documents on his Florida estate. He also faces charges related to election interference in the state of Georgia.
He denies all allegations of wrongdoing and said this week that the New York real estate fraud case is "anti-American" and a "fraud" plotted by his political opponents to influence his campaign to return to the White House.
On Friday, Donald Trump's ally, Republican Supervisor of Elections Scott Hall, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. He is expected to testify against Trump in upcoming trials.
