Miguel Vitor, captain of Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Israeli national team player, spoke about his emotional experience with the tense situation in Israel. He shared his experiences during the Hamas attack and how he managed to stay calm during the crisis.
Miguel said his family was in Portugal at the time of the attack, so he was alone in Israel. He awakened in the morning and saw reports from his compatriots about the sound of sirens, the players of the Hapoel Be'er Sheva team feared an attack. However, since he lives far from the city and from the border with the Gaza Strip, he did not hear the sound of the siren.
He also said that the team's training session was canceled due to the tragic events, and the team was advised to stay at home.
In the interview, Miguel also talked about his adaptation in Israel, as well as the differences between the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
