Sea and summer in 50 sqm on the Amalfi Coast
As a result, we can describe the project "Maltese", created by delphilab + Id'a studio, as an area of 50 square meters flooded by the sea. This small apartment on the Amalfi Coast has been completely renovated. Located in the town of Furore in the province of Salerno, between fjords and picturesque streets, the house is the embodiment of the always fashionable Mediterranean style, which here takes on a modern, minimalist and straightforward incarnation. Central to everything is the color, a deep sea blue that immediately links the house to its natural environment. However, the creative process is not limited to this. To embody the joyful and restful spirit of such a special place, something more is needed - a fresh and timeless lightness that is associated with summer and uses valuable allies such as light, clean design lines and a few skillfully introduced vintage touches that envelop it in a gentle nostalgia.
The designers undertook a conservative restoration, focusing on targeted changes, starting with the floors, where they decided to add hand-painted geometric patterns to the original mosaic.
50 square meters can only seem insufficient if it's overcrowded and poorly organized, but that's not the case. The layout has found room for a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen finished with staggered blue tiles. There's also a multifunctional studio, characterized by a new decorative wall that is a bookshelf-cabinet, allowing the room to be used in a variety of ways. Aesthetic continuity and functional wholeness make this home the perfect retreat for enjoying the sea - a white and blue treasure trove, vintage and minimalist, where you can keep summer all year round.
