Charles de Gaulle's former home is up for sale in the south of France.

Gaulle probably would have recognized the different styles of English architecture in the ancillary buildings, the main house today he would no longer recognize as it has been transformed into a modern glass-walled villa that is now for sale at a price of $30 million. Representation for the sale of the property is being handled by Andrea Wol Lucas at Douglas Elliman.

With its modern updates, it's unlikely that de Gaulle would recognize the English home today.

When you pass the gate, you'll see the carriage house and parking lot. A paved driveway climbs up the hill, passing professionally lit and landscaped grounds, to the front of the house, which is approximately 11,000 square feet.

The elevator serves all three floors of the home, which has' 'Nine en-suite bedrooms with a total of 11 bathrooms. Glass towers, one of which contains a swooping staircase, flank the glass front door.
