Four Seas ice cream parlor on Cape Cod is up for sale

The owners of the Four Seas Ice Cream Shop on Cape Cod have been running commercial real estate for about 24 years, but they've never seen a response like this. Ownership of the commissary goes back 62 years. They opened in 1934 in a former blacksmith shop and are the third oldest ice cream shop in New England.
The couple bought the store in 2000 from Doug's parents, Dick and Georgia, who purchased it from the original owner. The couple having reached retirement age, they are in their 60s and 50s respectively, they just need to focus on relaxation.
They would prefer a buyer who would continue to operate their shop and acknowledged that it depends on the offer. They said they would 100 percent prefer to find a buyer who would want to continue operating the best ice cream shop on Cape Cod and Massachusetts. The shop has a "strong romance factor" and "has a connection to old Cod."
