20 September 2023 at 09:49 hours at the Nakhon Panom Provincial Health Office, staff of the Health Database and Systems Division held a meeting to share experiences on the development of telehealth telemedicine (telehealth telemedicine) in primary health care districts of Nakhon Panom Province for the budget year 2023. The meeting was attended by about 70 people, including doctors responsible for the remote health care system at hospital, district and village levels.

Dr. Kanchai Kantatcha, deputy chief medical officer for academic affairs, opened the meeting and said that the Nakhon Panom Provincial Health Office has received a policy to improve the quality of the health care system to support comprehensive health improvement of the population as well as the development of the distance health care system. Nakhon Panom province has 151 village health clinics and 12 remote health care hospitals.

The goal of the remote health care system is to provide access to medical and health care services in remote areas using information and communication technologies for the transmission of data, images and sound. The system provided 31,753 services during the period of operation, and three districts - Phonsavan, Si Songkram and Nake - were recognized as leaders in providing remote health care. The meeting was dedicated to sharing experiences and exploring the development of remote health care in primary health care areas.
