FM Global appoints Tadmuri as head of operations for Europe, Asia, Canada regions

FM Global appoints Tadmuri as head of operations for Europe, Asia, Canada regions

FM Global, MAPFRE and MAPFRE RE have recently undergone a restructuring that has resulted in key appointments.

FM Global

The commercial real estate company FM Global

has appointed Ziad Alex S. Tadmuri as executive vice president of operations for EMEA, Asia Pacific, Canada and specialty industry regions. He will also be responsible for AFM, FM Global's mid-market insurance division.

In his new role, Tadmuri will start January 1, 2024, reporting to Bret Anell, chief operating officer of FM Global. He will be based in FM Global's London office. Tadmuri will replace James R. Galloway, who retired on December 31, 2023''after 37 years at FM Global.

Ziad Alex S. Tadmuri began his career with FM Global in 1989 and has held various management positions. He also has experience outside of FM Global, including at Hanover Re'\''s Med Re Services in Athens, Greece.

He holds an MBA from St. Louis University and a bachelor's degree in quantitative business analysis from Indiana University.

The MAPFRE

company also announced a restructuring of its operations and a number of promotions and appointments. The most significant are the appointments of Miguel Angel Rosa as CEO of MAPFRE RE and Eduardo Perez de Lema as CEO of the new business unit MAPFRE International Insurance.

These appointments will all take effect on January 1, 2024''year. MAPFRE will consolidate all of its insurance operations worldwide (excluding the Iberian Peninsula and North America) into a new International Insurance division. In addition, Perez de Lema will also head MAPFRE's Global Risks division.

The restructuring also resulted in other appointments at MAPFRE, including the appointment of Elena Sanz as CEO of MAPFRE IBERIA (Spain and Portugal), Jesus Martinez Castellanos as deputy CEO of Iberia and CEO of MAPFRE Vida (Spain) and the appointment of Alberto Berges as CEO of MAPFRE Mexico, among others.

Together, more than 15 appointments or changes in positions have been made in the MAPFRE Group. All of these appointments will be effective January 1, 2024''year, except for some changes.

The restructuring at FM Global and MAPFRE will therefore allow the companies to improve their operations and take on new challenges in the insurance industry.
